BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors plays an important role in the governance of Coffrages Synergy. It is made up of three members, one of whom is independent and comes from a variety of backgrounds. Their common goal is to ensure the sustainable growth of Coffrages Synergy, while acting as strategic advisors to the company’s management.

OUR TEAM AT THE PREFABRICATION PLANTS

Our team at the prefabrication plants designs and manufactures parts for use on construction sites. These seasoned workers do their utmost to design top-quality products that enable the company to be more efficient in the field.

OUR ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM

Our administrative team, spread across our three offices in Lavaltrie, Quebec City and Ottawa, plays a key role in the organization and smooth running of our projects. Thanks to the expertise of our various departments, every administrative aspect is handled rigorously and efficiently, ensuring optimum support for our teams in the field.

Jean Wilhelmy

External director

Jean Wilhelmy joined the Solidarity Fund QFL in 2005 as Vice-President, Investments for the aerospace, transportation, recreotourism and environment sectors. He completed his career in 2020 as Senior Vice-President, Development Capital, managing a portfolio of $6 billion and over 150 companies. He holds an MBA from HEC Montréal, and has over 40 years’ experience in corporate development and venture capital, having worked for BDC, Investissement Desjardins, Hydro-Québec Capitech, Énergie Capital and SGF. He has sat on more than 30 boards of directors. He currently sits on those of Moulins de Soulanges (since 2016, Chairman of the HR Committee) and La Milanaise (since 2014, Chairman of the Board since 2022). In 2021, he joined Thrust Capital Partners as a consultant and is also an external member of the Fonds de solidarité’s due diligence committee.

Michel Beaudoin

Vice-President Finance

With over 25 years of financial management experience in the construction industry, Michel is responsible for the financial health of the company and oversees all accounting, administration and finance departments within the organization. Prior to joining Synergy in 2013, Michel was CFO at Construction Garnier, as well as Controller at Semafo and Construction Soter & G.T.S. Michel holds an MBA from Université du Québec à Montréal and is a member of the Ordre des Comptables Professionnels Agrées (CPA) du Québec.

Isabelle Côté

President

Since her appointment in 2017, Isabelle has successfully led Synergy in growing the number of employees from 400 to 1,500 and increasing revenues to 40% CAGR. Isabelle has been instrumental in establishing and promoting Synergy’s corporate culture, succession plan and optimized financial structure. She plays a key role in developing and identifying strategic directions and growth opportunities for Synergy. Prior to taking on the role of CEO, Isabelle held various positions within Synergy since joining in 2006. Isabelle’s previous experience includes business development and marketing at Prostyle Construction. She was also co-owner of an excavation company. Isabelle holds a Minor in Garden Design from the Université de Montréal.

Maxime Champagne

Vice-President Construction

Vice-President Construction and Shareholder, Maxime Champagne joined Coffrages Synergy as Project Manager. He held this position for nearly six years before moving on to Project Manager, a position he held for two years. Maxime trained as an engineer and also worked as a general contractor (from 1997 to 2010), which enabled him to acquire considerable expertise in the construction field and bring a different vision to the work entrusted to the Coffrages Synergy team. He plans, organizes, directs, controls and evaluates the activities surrounding the various projects in progress. He is responsible for the team of project managers and the engineering department.

Roxanne Desrochers

Vice President, Human Resources

With a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Roxanne Desrochers joined Coffrages Synergy in 2014 as head of recruitment and personnel management. Her unfailing professionalism has enabled her to achieve all her objectives and implement effective HR strategies. Now Vice President Human Resources, Roxanne has proven to be a major asset in developing innovative measures to provide a stimulating work environment and future prospects for our employees. A member of the Ordre des CRHA, Roxanne focuses her practice on employee well-being, fulfillment and health & safety.

Sébastien Boyer

Construction Director

Sébastien is responsible for the overall management of construction sites in the Ottawa and Gatineau regions. He joined Synergy in June 2017. With three master’s degrees in engineering, materials research and business (MBA), he has solid management experience. Prior to joining Synergy, he was CEO of Coffrage Atlantique, General Manager at Polycor, as well as General Manager at various companies in France, Argentina and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Annie Robichaud

Vice President, Legal Affairs

Annie leads Synergy’s Legal Services department, where she provides advice on key legal, regulatory and ethical issues, as well as working preventively to minimize legal risks. She joined Synergy in 2015, after practicing as a lawyer in private practice and for the Attorney General of New Brunswick. Annie holds a Bachelor of Administration and a Bachelor of Laws from the Université de Moncton. A member of the New Brunswick Bar since 2003, she was also admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2008, following her move to Quebec.

Shawn Perreault

Business Development Director

Shawn manages construction sites in the Montreal region. Responsible for project managers, he also plays a key role in developing business relationships with customers. He joined Synergy in 2012 as a project manager, rose through the ranks to become project director, and was appointed construction director in 2020.

Hugues Gagnon

Vice President Innovation & Technology

Hughes heads up the IT and technology department at Synergy. He is responsible for all IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, as well as several development-related projects, including the Synergy application and various operating and operational software. He works closely with business analysts and programmers to optimize the efficiency of each department, notably by automating certain tasks. Hughes joined Synergy in April 2012, having previously worked for Fasken Martineau and Alpha Vision.

Jean-Simon Lavallée

General Manager

Jean-Simon oversees all company operations and works closely with each of Synergy’s vice-presidencies. He joined the organization in 2017 as director of courses, equipment and materials. Before joining Synergy, he worked as a research and development engineer at Bombardier Recreational Products. Jean-Simon holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University and is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).Vice President Business Development

Sylvain Ouellette

Vice President, Business Development

Sylvain is responsible for developing and maintaining Synergy’s business relationships, ensuring project profitability and seeking out new opportunities. He joined Synergy in 2015, having previously held the position of Vice President Construction at Coffrages Alliance. Sylvain holds a bachelor’s degree in information management and has also completed a course in construction surveying at École Polytechnique de Montréal.
